These delivery services can reach EVERYwhere. But, there is no such thing as
fast and cheap delivery. Do think realistically how much you are willing to
pay before you choose.
Affordable
Postal Air
The usual international postal service.
Delivery time is 4-12 working days.
Your country's postal service will deliver to your mailbox, or to
your door, depending on your local practice. Anyone can sign to receive.
There is no tracking number, but there is a registration/recorded
number. If it is lost, we will enquire with Singapore Post (SP)
using this number. SP will contact your country's post office to investigate.
This process takes 2 months (according to SP). Any insurance will be
paid after that.
Consists of 2 services .. Air Mail & Air Parcel. Same service
levels, but different pricing structure. Main difference is insurance
premium cost. We will work out the best option for you.
Faster
EMS
Express
Mail Service is a Fedex-like service from the postal service. Also called
Express Courier International ECI.
Delivery time is 2-4 working days. Delays of 3-4 days, due to customs,
are not uncommon.
Your country's postal EMS section will deliver to your door, anyone
can sign to receive, with ID recorded.
With tracking number, traceable at Singapost
Post (SP), and your local postal website, if available.
If parcel is lost, we will enquire with SP. SP will contact your country's
post office to investigate. This process takes 1 month (according to
SP). Any insurance will be paid after that.
The main drawback is lower reliability. Sometimes, EMS can show poorer
service levels.
They may not help clear your parcel thru customs.
You will have to wait for customs to send you a letter on tax payment.
You may have to personally collect at the main local
post office, or the customs office. On the other hand, Commercial couriers
(CC) will pay the tax first, and then claim it from
you at your door.
They may only make 1 delivery attempt a day. CC may
try 2-3 times a day.
The gloomy scenarios doesnt play out always. Mostly, they are fast
and efficient enough. Its best you research in user forums on experiences
of your countrymen (search EMS, import tax, customs). We will share
what we know.
Reliable
DHL, FedEx
Commercial couriers costs are 10-20% higher than EMS.
Delivery time is 2-4 working days. Usually no delay.
Will deliver to your door, anyone can sign to receive, with ID recorded.
With tracking number, traceable at their website.
We recommend DHL for Europe, and Fedex for the Americas.
If your company has accounts with these couriers, we can bill the
delivery directly to it. You just pay us for the products and any payment
handling charges. You can easily open a company account by calling them.
Limits of Responsibility.
Do understand that we should not be held responsible for lost/damaged parcels.
We are not the post office nor courier company. Naturally, we always despatch
your parcel in the best way we know how .. good packing and good documentation.
In the event of damaged, or lost, delivery, as the sender, we will help you claim
insurance. Your calm cooperation is needed.
